Kids4Reel School Programs

‘Kids4reel’ has actively partnered with local Schools that offer fishing programs.

As an example, we support Eight Flagler County schools with some equipment such as rods/reels, bait provided by our ‘Fishbites’ sponsor and continuous coaching from our ‘kids4reel’ team of Flagler Sportfishing Club member volunteers at their monthly outings.

In addition to fishing skills and techniques, our local youth learn about marine science, safety, conservation and fishing regulations.

Youth/teen school programs such as these positively Influence social/emotional learning (SEL) skills.

Future School Program initiatives under review include:

• ‘kids4reel’ educational program integration into school PE classes
• Alignment of ‘kids4reel’ youth clinics with local schools
• Providing ‘kids4reel’ member-donated, good working order, pre-fished rods/reels to participant school programs
