Each weigh station has an official portable scale & a supply of official weigh slips. The Angler just needs to go to one of the weigh stations when they are open and request to weigh in their fish. Each weigh station is unique – they may weigh the fish for you or they may hand you the scale & weigh slips & it’s all up to you.
Most weigh stations have a spot where you hang up the scale. Turn on the scale & ensure it is zeroed out. Hang your fish on the hook & and note the weight in pounds and ounces. It is the Angler responsibility to fill out the weigh slip in its’ entirety.
No Date…No Catch.
Weigh slips must be legible, please print clearly. All weigh slips must be signed by a witness – that could be someone from the weigh station who witnessed the catch on the scale or your friend that was in the boat with you. Remember – this is a friendly, family fishing club and we are on an honor system. There are 2 parts to the weigh slip – one white & one yellow copy.
Leave the white copy at the weigh station and the angler takes the yellow copy as proof of their catch.
It is the member’s responsibility to keep their yellow copy — in the event of a lost weigh slip or dispute this is your only proof of catch. No slip – no fish!!!
The Weighmaster picks up the weigh slips at the beginning of each month to determine the Yearlong Standings and Fish of the Month winner,
