From The Helm October

As Floridians, by birth or by choice, we are no strangers to severe weather. In recent
years, however, our small community has been battered by floods, Hurricane winds
and oh, so much rain. Yet each time we have come together and rebuilt, stronger than
ever. We know our club members are all thinking about everyone affected by the storm
and are ready to help in any way that we can!
Time after time, it becomes deeply personal to witness the impact on our community.
One of our club sponsor’s, Genung’s Fish Camp, knows this feeling first hand, as he was
battling these extreme elements presented by Hurricane Ian ripping across Florida and
causing massive flooding along our coasts. Club President, Adam Morley, documented
his experience with this storm, as he worked to secure his property, nervously watched
rising waters and eventually took a boat ride out ahead of the increasing tide waters.
