From The Helm – January

It appears that Florida decided to participate in winter this year, at least over the holidays. Brr! We had some chilly days to contend with but already as I write this we are heading back into the 70’s (far out dude!). Hopefully everyone took care to protect their outboard motors during the freeze and are ready to be back on the water to enjoy this warming trend.

Since I was working on Hurricane Ian cleanup in Fort Myers this past month, I unfortunately had to miss the Annual Holiday Party. However, I joined vicariously and saw lots of wonderful pictures. I am proud that we were able to raise $2500 to support our kids4reel program and was happy to hear it was such a successful event.

I want to thank Quinn, Deb, all the volunteers, and club directors that made the holiday event possible. Great job! Looking forward to a great 2023 and hope to see everyone at our first tournament of the year on January 21st.

Picture above is from the Outdoor Expo in Nashville, Tn. where we explored all the latest fishing gear.

Happy New Year!
