Thanksgiving has passed and we are quickly approaching Christmas. I just want to take a short moment to thank all members that have made this club what it is today. We have come a long way from what was to something better.
We still have work to do, though I believe we are going in the right direction and we need your help. You can be the person that takes from the club, never gives (time) and watch the club fail or you can be the person that gives (time) to the club and watch it succeed. We need members to run tournaments and volunteer to assist at the tournaments. Positions such as helping the weighmaster, cooking/grilling, selling raffle tickets, selling 50/50 tickets. If you would like to run a tournament and have not done so before. We have people that are willing to assist you that have run tournaments. Or volunteer to run a tournament with someone that has.
We have had the highest number of new members join this year that I have ever seen since I have been a part of this club. There were 22 new members join at the last month’s meeting!
Some changes that are coming in the new year you will see on the club calendar. We have changed the fish of the month to times where you are more likely to catch that species. There will be better raffle prizes at the tournament. We have changed some of the tournaments. All of which you can view on the upcoming club calendar.
To close out I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy NewYear! Please be safe! I hope to see you at the Christmas party but if not, Here’s to next year.
