Learn, have fun and enjoy the sport of fishing – by being a member of the fishing club you will have many ways to learn how to fish and review techniques on how to catch specific species of fish and at the same time have fun.
Fishing in Tournaments – There are 11 Tournaments a year that Members can participate for free and compete in. Cash prizes and nice fishing merchandise are given away to participants and non-participants.
Introducing Kids to Fishing – Each year the club holds a Free Kids Fishing Clinics where 30-40 club volunteers man learning stations to educate kids on fishing. This past year, more than 450 kids went home with a new rod and reel and tackle box once they completed the 6 station course. This feeling of working with the kids will benefit everyone and the enjoyment of the kids really touches your heart.
Be confident in knowing the best equipment to have for fishing by learning from other club members who are experts. Regardless of the method; by boat, pier or surf, we have members who fish all types of methods. The club has organized meetings each month with a topic about a specific type of fishing. These monthly meetings are where you can learn the best techniques from other club members.
Develop relationships, camaraderie and friendships with other members both socially and as fishing partners. There are many social events at our club meetings such as Chili Cook-off and Smoked Fish Contest. A Club Picnic and Christmas party are large social events that the club hosts that are big fun for all.
Connections of all types – as a club member, you will have the resources to get help of any kind. If you need advice on funeral services or how to get your house sold we have successful sponsors and members there to assist. No matter what help is needed someone in the club can help.
Attending the weigh-ins at tournaments will benefit you as you can see real fish that were caught up close and learn the varieties of fish that are in our local waters.
Volunteering to Help – The club relies on volunteers for everything it does and you will benefit by helping the club manage a tournament, cookout, party or marketing. Whatever your skill, you can benefit the club in some small way. You will get much more out of the Club if you participate in the many activities that the club offers.
Charity and Giving back – The guiding principle of the club is to raise money to give something back to the community. This will benefit you as a member by giving something to others and will enhance your life in a positive way.
Advanced Learning – The club has the best and most popular Charter Captains as members who are eager to help you learn how and where to fish and be successful. They will show you everything from equipment to methods and even how to clean your catch. They offer a discount to members who charter their service.
Annual Sponsors – The club operates by our Annual Sponsors who contribute their time and funds for the benefit of the club and its members. Many sponsors offer special considerations for the club members from discounts to waivers. Each benefit is unique and helps the sponsor’s revenue as an end result. It’s not about a discount but giving business in return to our valuable sponsors. As one sponsor said “the new customers that I have now due to me being a member of our club is huge”
