July Fishing Report

Chris from Skinny Water Lures brings you this
month’s Flagler County Fishing Report

Early June (1–10th): Water warmed past low‑80s, topwater bites surged. Reds and
trout responded to wake and twitch baits; live shrimp under a cork.

Mid-June (11–20th): Shrimp presence increased; flats and creeks lit up with red, trout,
snook, tarpon taking live baits and topwater plugs.

Late June (21–30th). Trout and ladyfish remained plentiful.
Redfish remain a highlight—incoming snook and red schools were seen chasing mullet
and glass minnows around oyster bars, creeks, docks, and seawalls.
Snook have being landed in canals and creek systems—favorable at night under dock
lights on live shrimp or Skinny Water Lure twitch baits
Trout action has picked up on grassy flats and creek banks. Early mornings and
evenings, using SWL soft plastics, have been productive.
Flounder have been caught near creek mouths on outgoing tides, with richer catches
mid‑month using SWL jigs with a curly tail grub combination.
Jacks, ladyfish, are abundant near structures—early morning and late afternoon on
topwater lures.
Tarpon have been seen rolling near Matanzas inlet and under High bridge area; most
are being caught using live mullet or a larger paddle tail during outgoing tide.
Concentrate on the full moon approaching near the end of June. Fish several days
leading up and after the full moon and you will have great success!!

Remember with the warm weather is upon us, bring plenty of water, sun screen and
TIGHT LINES!!
