On May 5, 2022, Flagler Sportfishing Club proudly donated $825 to the Bunnell Elementary School to support their Student Fishing Initiative. Donations were made by some FSC members to help support a student fishing club initiated by Coach Tom Westley. The Coach indicated that the funds will be used to help pay for bait, tackle, rods/reels plus other gear and expenses. Science, safety, conservation, and fishing regulations will be emphasized to the students at school and during Club fishing outings.

We went on our last SEL Fishing trip for the year on Friday to Herschel King Park. Best line of the day, “My mom will be proud of me. This is the longest I’ve ever been outside.” A good reminder of how isolated some of our kids have been.
