- Weighmaster Chuck Radloff announced that Sheepshead is the Fish of the Month for February and talked about the slot size of Trout, we are moving forward with CPR and we have ordered bump boards and will have a CPR tournament in the near future.
- Captain Tim Jarvis conducted the Quick Tips at the February Monthly Meeting and brought along these hooks; bobbers and lures.
- Choose to go north or south of Bings; north is better for Redfish and use live or frozen mullet or shrimp and fish near docks; south is better for Black Drum where you should use 1/4 oz jig head or crab lure or fish with crustaceans and in deep water due to the cold.
- It was a great turnout at the February 4th Monthly Meeting.
- Rita Waddell and Dana Syens are running the 2020 Spring Classic and said the DAV will be the beneficiary; we will be participating in the CCA STAR Program.
- Captain Britton brought along artificial bait to show how to hook live bait which he suggested using for this tournament to catch Black Drum and Redfish.
- Dana Syens reported on the 2020 Spring Tournament and but need a lot of help with raffle items and helpers.
- Weighmaster Chuck Radloff reported that the 2019 Yearlong Tournament standings are official and the prizes have been ordered;
- Congratulations to Tim Mott who won $195.00 in the 50/50 at the February Monthly Meeting.
- Chris Christian reported on the Black and Red Tournament on February 8th. John Mount will be co-chairing this tournament and the weigh in.
- Captain Jim Britton was our guest speaker at the February Monthly Meeting and talked about how to catch Black and Red Drum.

- Membership Director David Genk will be running the Fishing Clinic on March 14th at Hammock Community Center.
- Amy also told the membership about the two social events she has organized which are a Dinner Cruise on February 22nd for Club Members and a half day fishing aboard the Critter Fleet on March 8th; details are in the Chum Line and the web.
- Social Director Amy Beth Krisanda reported that the Christmas Party was moved from December 12th to December 5th and will again be held at the Halifax Plantation Golf Club
- Captain Britton said he likes to use jig heads but that circle hooks are good; you need to match the size of the hook to the size of the bait you are using.
